The NSW Government has announced plans to introduce a free asbestos disposal scheme aimed at reducing illegal dumping and encouraging the safe disposal of asbestos waste.
At this stage, the scheme is expected to commence in 2027. Final eligibility requirements, funding limits and operating guidelines have not yet been released and may change before the program begins.
