Helping NSW homeowners understand the proposed government asbestos disposal scheme and what it could mean for their project.
The NSW Government has announced plans to introduce a free asbestos disposal scheme aimed at reducing illegal dumping and encouraging the safe disposal of asbestos waste.
At this stage, the scheme is expected to commence in 2027. Final eligibility requirements, funding limits and operating guidelines have not yet been released and may change before the program begins.
Hunter Asbestos Services will keep monitoring updates and provide accurate information as it becomes available. In the meantime, we can help with asbestos inspections, testing and licensed removal across the Hunter.
