Hunter Asbestos Services is an asbestos inspection, testing and compliance specialist based in Cessnock, servicing Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and the Central Coast. We’re a division of Norfolk Demolition Pty Ltd, with over a decade of hands-on experience identifying, assessing and managing asbestos in homes, workplaces and worksites across the region.
Most people meet us because they need to know — is there asbestos, where is it, what condition is it in, and what do the rules require? That’s our core work: inspections, testing, registers, surveys and compliance. When asbestos does need to go, we also carry out licensed non-friable removal — but the assessment and advice always come first.
All of our work is carried out under NSW Class B Asbestos Removal Licence AD214705, in line with SafeWork NSW requirements and the relevant Codes of Practice. We’re fully insured, and every inspection and report is prepared by an experienced licensee — so you get documentation you can rely on and stand behind.
We’re Hunter locals, not a franchise operating from three hours away. That means we understand the region’s older housing stock, its commercial and industrial sites, and the practical realities of getting work done here — from the fibro cottages of Newcastle’s inner suburbs to rural properties in the Upper Hunter.
